There have been a lot of short series of films that portray the roots of snowboarding and offers a different look at riding the mountains. I will post a couple here on my blog. I find them to be really inspiring and they really resonate with my view of snowboarding. It'a all about roots and soul. Riding a mountain in its purest form. This first one is by Burton and sheds more light on their Family Tree line of boards. I'm really tempted to test the Juice Wagon.

WE RIDE The story of snowboarding
This is one to look forward to. Described as "a story told by the legends who made snowboarding what it is today". Should be out in cinemas in February.

Bryan Iguchi & Jamie Lynn
Volcom's IP2 series ends with a banger. The whole series of parts has been a treat but this one to me is really special. Bryan Iguchi & Jamie Lynn were two of my absolute favourite riders and hugely influential to our little crew in the early nineties. The guys are still doing it. Age is but a number. Jamie's backflip at the end there... boom! Legends.
Go check out Iguchi's blog for more great stuff.
Never stop exploring: Lucas Debari
Lucas has been getting a lot of exposure in the last months (actually years). He's a real seasoned backcountry slayer (despite his young age). I really enjoy his style of riding and his video parts have been really good to watch. It feels that he is all over the place and deservedly so.
He was along for the ride with Jeremy Jones in Further (which I posted on earlier). Then there's Mission Antarctica, where he hooked up with Xavier De La Rue for a trip to Antarctica. I'm really looking forward to seeing the finished document. The teaser and blog already have me really hyped.
And then there's the GO! road trip series that looks soo sweet. Definitely one to stay tuned to as more episodes will be dished out over at Transworld.

Like father like son
My good friend told me that there's no better feeling than being on the hill with your son. His son is 5 years old and enjoying his 2nd season on a snowboard. My son will be 18 months next winter. I can't wait...
